Hey everyone,

If you ordered a Mac Pro, could you tell me how long it took to arrive? As in from when it was shipped and could you specify whether you had the fast ship option or not?

I've ordered a Mac Pro but have had to pay for it in two halves, a cheque payment and a bank transfer because the cheque payment was from my Insurance company direct to Apple. The bank transfer has gone through but the cheque could take a few days and I'm considering trying to pay the amount of the cheque via card and then have them refund me that amount back to the card once the cheque has cleared in order to get my Mac built quicker.
Apparently they don't start to build Macs over the weekend so at most I'd only be gaining a day or maybe two in hurrying the order up. If it meant I could get the machine by the end of next week then I'd probably go through with it, if it didn't then it wouldn't really be worth the hassle.

Cheers!

I got the shipping email on Thursday evening. Checking the shipping company (TNT) showed that they actually picked it up on the following day. It arrived on the Monday - a day earlier than Apple's estimate.

Not sure what shipping option I had - I think it was the fast ship option, but I can't be 100% sure.

My first Mac Pro shipped on the 5th and arrived on the 8th. It took 3 days to be built.
My replacement was shipped on the 14th and should be arriving on or before the 19th (The estimate is the 18th). It took 2 days to be built.

The first was shipped by Kuhne & Nagel and then UPS. I used the standard shipping.
The second one is being shipped by TNT, and supposedly it is priority.
Both are coming/came from Ireland.
