Well I have read that people have had no problems getting apple to swap out iPads for dead pixels ect. But is there a timeframe you have to do this? I've had my iPad for just over a month and the wifi issues are really starting to drain on me.. Not to mention it does have a dead (or maybe stuck?) pixel.. And I did have a 32 gig wifi that had no such problems at all. Perfect screen and never an issue with wifi, so i know there are perfect ones out there!;) but then I decided to upgrade to the 64 gig 3G and.... Yea.. Not so lucky. But I was just wondering if they would swap it just as easy even if it has been over a month. It also has some pretty knarly scratches on the oleopheobic coating so I hope they don't think thats why I'm trying to swap.. Just curious though.. Anyone swap theirs out this late??

The Apple warranty is for one year, and they'll swap out a defective product any time during the year. I had an iPod touch that stopped working 11 months after I got it, and they swapped it for me, no problem.

The warranty is one year and only covers manufacturing defects. Apple tends to be very good about exchanges, but you are somewhat at the mercy of the tech looking at your device. Depending on how abused it is (you mention significant scratches on the glass), they may give some push back for a minor stuck pixel. I would try to exchange it ASAP.
Also I would tell them that the screen shouldn't scratch that easily...

That's a great idea. I'll have to call and see since I live about an hour from my apple store and does anyone know if they are making enough to keep stock? Would they be able to switch it out on the spot or would I be put on a waiting list again.. Also do they give me a brand new one or a refurb? And yes you are right, I'm pretty upset about the scratches..

One more thing! I have an SGP skin guard protector on the back that is like $20 would they re-emburst me this? Or maybe are these removable and Reusable? (I don't think so, but hey..)

Thanks in advance
