How long does a iPad Pro battery last ?

Are you referring to how long the battery will last between charges, or the total life of the battery? Either way, the battery in an iPad Pro will outlast an iPhone battery with regard to time between charges and total life. And yes, much depends on how you use your device.
Battery life is one of the biggest strength the iPad has always had over a computer. Depending on what you are doing, it lasts for a good 6-10 hours of use. Hence why it's such a great travelling companion. Whenever I use mine I have no battery anxiety.

I've found that with 20% brightness, indoors, and Wi-Fi, using devices for web browsing, Netflix, and iMessage mostly, the iPhone 6s lasted around 8 hours, the iPhone 7+ lasted around 10 hours, and the 9.7 iPad Pro lasted 13-14 hours. The iPad outlasted my 2015 rMBP, too.
I was thinking the same thing. My older iPad still gets a decent charge on them. Its way better than the older MBP or any iPods. If I watch a movie on my Mac the battery will drop to around 60% vs iPad 85%.

I pretty much charge my iPad Pro at night even though sometimes it has 40-50% left. I like to have a full charge for each day for the most part. I get a lot of notifications on twitter so that uses a lot of battery I imagine.

Yep, this. We traded in a couple of iPad 3 (42Wh battery) last year and even after 5 years, battery life on those were still excellent.
I don't expect the Pros to be as resilient particularly if one uses fast charging but they should still do better than an iPhone. Iirc, iPhone batteries are expected to maintain at least 80% capacity after 1 year and 500 charge cycles, meanwhile that's 80%/1 year/1000 cycles for the iPad.
Mind, battery-wise the entry level iPads (32Wh) would likely last longest. Those pair huge iPad batteries with low-power iPhone chipsets.
As others have mentioned, it really depends on your use of the device.
I generally have to charge my IPP about 1-2 times a week. If I'm strictly just using my IPP to read NYT app, check email and browse the web, then I can easily get by with charging it once a week. However, when I stream (HBO Now, Netflix, MLB.TV and PS Vue) that is when I'm charging my IPP more frequently.
