How long does it take for apple stores to restock?

I called Monday (3rd) and they told me they didn't know but put me on the list and said when they get their next shipment of ipad 3G's in I would get an email and they would hold one for me for 24 hours.

Now it's the 6th and still no email or anything. Althought I'm kind of thinking they will restock for the weekend. But I will not be able to get to the store until Tuesday.

So how do I go about this.. If they do restock for the weekend is there a way I could have them hold it until Tuesday. Even if I had to call every day and have them hold it for "24 hours."

I got rid of the wifi for the 3g, so I'm slowly dieing every day without this thing. :D I neeed one soon;)
 
No one knows. I do think you should have waited to return your 64 wifi until the day you went to pick up the 64 3G. It's a waiting game and you may be way down the list.

Hope you get it soon though. :)

I was able to collect my 16gb wifi three days after ordering (4 days in total). No idea how long the queues may be for others before you, but all the stores I tried were getting deliveries most days. If you have more than one Apple ID, you can sign up at more than one store.

Point taken. BUT I sort of meant they don't know when their next shipment is, but maybe someone on here knows of shipment patterns from experience, like if they get one shipment a week or a month, not the exact date of their next shipment.

I actually ended up selling mine internationaly on eBay so I sort of didn't have a chance to wait. I also didn't expect the store to be sold out so easily. When I bought my 32gig wifi they seemed like it was no problem and had stock to last a while.. Oh well I guess I'll just be playing the waiting game >_<
 
Its totally pot luck. I had one on the reservation list in 2 stores in the Baltimore area for 13 days and it arrived yesterday. My son's friend went to the Annapolis store, put one on reservation and received it in 2 days. Anyway, I LOVE IT:).

MAY 3rd is a Monday... Really guys? This post is done and over. Obviously I have an iPad by now and you guys have no idea what your talking about.. With the exception of the people that actually give educated input of coarse. This post was from may..... MAY. look at things before you all jump to the wrong conclusions.

This post has got to be some sort of bot bumping this thread, that is the newest one and why i posted the STOP. Hoping people would realize they were a bit late with their help.

It won't help, this is the reason I posted what I did, but most people dont look at the dates! LOL!! I wasn't referring to your post as spam.

whats wrong with getting it somewhere else than the apple store (i almost called it the ipad store :)) like best buy or somewhere else or in the uk get it from currys or pc world
