When the developer submits the app to Apple, how long does it usually take for Apple to release it?

I´ve been waiting for the Deep Pinball which was submitted 21.7. and still nothing... :(

Really? That´s brutal.

I wonder what´s the reason for taking that long...

Well shouldn't Apple have prepared for this or do something rather than get swamped?

I've had one app in review since May 12th.

And that's after fixing what it was originally rejected for.

Every week or so I email them and get a 'your app is taking additional time to review. No further information is available at this time'.

And you haven't called?

And you haven't called?

I believe if I call, it will be flat out rejected. This way, maybe a new person will get the assignment and approve it!

Honestly, I don't think it will ever be approved. No, it's not pornographic or anything offensive like that. I don't want to give the app idea away necessarily, but imagine if you had an app about the Olympics, and it wasn't approved in time. The moment has passed, but I'd still like to see it approved, before the next one! I've just moved on to other apps and use it as a tool for sympathy from Apple!

For example, a couple of days ago I emailed saying I had X apps in review, including one since May 12th, and within 24 hours, one update was approved and one app was rejected (but this time they told me what to fix, and I did). I don't know if there's any correlation, but who really knows anything re the approval process?
