how long does it take you guys to get everything back the way you had it after you jailbreak

cydia apps, winterboard, SSH ....

to get it to look just the way you like it

I upgraded to the new update yesterday and it took me an hour to get everything back
I dont use winterboard so i had to ssh everything i wanted to change

also categories was crashing a lot

but its all worth it :D

how about you guys? i know they have something called appbackup i think, maybe i need to get that  :apple:

also i notice on my last jailbreak when i install steffwiz "all sources" cydia was runnin slower, so this time im just using the sources i need

About a minute via AptBackup.

AptBackUp was my downfall.

When it re-downloaded the JB/Cydia stuff, I ended up with double folders throughout the entire phone --- the folders installed by 3.0.1 and the folders aptBackUp re-installed. Yea, all the Cydia apps came back, but the internal file system of the phone was a scrambled mess.

So I had to restore and do it all over.

Instead of about an hour or 2 to redo it, it took about 6 hours.

Never again with AptBackUp....

And I am not the only one who's phone it clobbered, lots of people got creamed, you must be one of the lucky ones.

Yes, I heard many horror stories about AptBackUp.
I rather do it one by one to make sure everything goes thru smooth instead of having to go thru another restore and jailbreak then resync etc....
But yes it does take a while to get every setting and tweak back to the way you like it.

Yes and now I seem to have the rapid battery discharge issue. I didn't have any issues after after JB to 3.0. I used Redsn0w .0.8 this time. Last time I used .0.7.1 or 0.7.2. If I have to redo it, I might try using the older version.

I guess the challenges are what makes this interesting !
