QuickPWN has been sat at the 'About to run on your iPhone 3G' Stage for about 15 Minutes now, the wheel is spinning, but nothing on the bar so far....

Just wondering, its a 16Gb if it helps, on 2.2.1

The Combination of 10.5.6, and the fact the iPhone WASNT ON, is probably it lol

Booting into XP, seems easier.

Use the powered USB hub, don't waste your time on a USB kext edit.

If you follow quickpwn right the phone will look like it is turned off but it is actually in dfu mode. Do my above solution. Don't waste your money on a usb hub.

I'm having the same problem, but when it's "in dfu mode" it doesn't look like it's off. My screen is completely white.

Then it says QuickPWN is about to run on your iPhone 3G and the little wheel goes on forever.

The strange thing is I'm only running OS X 10.4.11. Not sure if I should do the update you described, or if it's simply not compatible?

EDIT: I had to keep holding the home button after releasing the power button while entering dfu mode. It prompts you the 10 seconds, but continue holding home for a few seconds after until the apple logo appears. If it goes white screen, you released it too early. Stupiddddd.

All is well. I'm jail broken.

I Did it on my iMac G4 Running 10.4.11, and it completed, but didnt actually Jailbreak my iPhone, it would say its finished, and that the iPhone would reboot itself, then it would appear turned off, i went for a shower, came back 30 mins later, still a black screen, no backlight, so i turned it on, and nothing, no Cydia, no Installer.

Tried it twice, no success :(
