How long does the flash LED last on an iPad? Have you ever had one fail or significantly degrade due to age?

I ask the question because when I’m tucked up in bed at night with the lights off watching a film, YouTube or telly I quite like to have the LED switched on. Why? I’m not sure, weird habit I guess. But I suppose it mimics bias lighting.

This is a question without a good answer. First off each LED bulb has an L70 rating and without knowing the bulb and it's rating, you can't answer specifically.

So then you have to go by generalities: LED bulbs have a basic lifespan of at least 25,000 hours, many times much higher.

In other words, assuming you do this religiously for 3 hours a night, each and every night without exception, it may start to fail around in the year 2040 or beyond.

None of this factors in other failures though, so, as always, YMMV.
