I just sent in my yellow tint laptop Friday through Fedex...How long will it take for them to ship my replacement? Will they ship immediately Monday or after they received my old laptop.

I just recieved my replacement MBP in under a week. Apple will send out the replacement computer once they see that the faulty computer is in the shipping companies tracking system headed their way. I would plan on a week or less for your replacement.

I just had to do this a couple of weeks ago. How quick you get your replacement all depends on the day of the week that you send it in. Whatever you do, don't send it in on a Friday.

They send you the label. You send in your computer. They check it out and make sure everything is on the up-and-up. Then, they send you your new machine.

I sent mine in on a Tuesday. My replacement was here by that Friday. So, I spent roughly three days without a computer. Pretty damn good turnaround.

I don't know what they told you they were sending you, but mine was a brand new C2D. The one I sent them was a refurbished CD. So, aside from time lost, I came out ahead in the deal.

So I just canceled my replacement and asked for a full refund...I didn't want to take the risk of receiving an refurbished MBP...and Apple said they wouldn't send out replacement until they actually received my DOA MPB. My week 30 MBP were still having issues such as yellow tint, strong fan vibration, squeaky keys...I think ill wait a couple more weeks.

Good luck with that one. Unless you're within 14 days of buying that system, there's no way they're going to give you a refund.

Don't worry about it. Your replacement system will be a new one.

You've spent way too much time reading a thread with a bunch of posts from a couple of people who've never had their computer replaced by Apple.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from these forums until your new computer arrives. You're getting yourself too worried about something you seriously have no control over, and chances are you'll be happy with the result anyway.

Well I initially believed that and ordered a MBP ... end up getting a yellow tint MBP with automatic vibration function. Talk about one in a million...mabe I am just really bad luck.

These days, I'm not exactly the biggest Apple cheerleader, when it comes to their hardware. Both notebook lines have serious flaws, which is why I no longer own either.

But, when it comes to customer service, Apple is second to none. They will do what it takes to make their customers happy. They want to keep you as a customer.

As I see it, unless you're within 14 days of your original purchase, you have two choices:

1. Take the replacement and be happy.

2. Sell the replacement and get something that will make you happy.

I went with option two, and I couldn't be happier. If there's one good thing about Apple hardware, it's that it moves fast. My replacement arrived Friday afternoon. I had it sold by Saturday morning. I was in a new machine by Tuesday.

Oh, in my previous thread I already stated that apple is offering me a full refund for my MBP and unopened accessories. So no replacements, no worries, no waiting, Ill have $2900 in my pocket soon to buy something else.

And yeah, I do admit that Apple Customer Service is definitely second to none even with order cancellation.
