Good Day All!

I'm a new user of MBA 2,1.
I would like to know the average battery life after each fully charged (especially when you just bought the unit).

I can only get 4:16hrs each time.

Thanks!!

About 4:30 normally, with browsing and word processing (light use). About 5:15 with coolbook installed.

Oh. And that is with 92% health.

1)What is coolbook? Hardware or software?

2)Do you guys feel that a 4:30hrs battery time is quite disappointed comparing to other notebooks in the market?

1. software
2. no, not at all. Have you ever owned a PC with these specs? You'd be happy to 2.5 hours out of it.

I get about 4 hours out of mine with 150 cycles and 91% health.

Thanks for all your replies.

Actually, I am a totally new Apple user. I have been using PC for the last 10 yrs.

Before I got MBA, I have a Samsung netbook with Intel Atom, which gives me 6 hrs battery time. Of course, the spec can't be compared with MBA.

So, are you saying, with MBA spec, on a PC notebook, usually the battery will only last 4 -5 hrs?

Thanks!

Yeah but what size cell batter is in that ThinkPad?

We don't use "cells" in our batteries per say because our battery are custom designed with a flat shape. The better question to ask is how much "wHr" that battery has and compare it to our 37-40wHr.

To the OP: I get an average of about 3.5 hours, but that's with max brightness on also. 1.5 Hours under gaming.

I am curious, the times you state are those with 10.5 or 10.6?

I just reverted back to 10.5 and I think I gain some battery time.
