In your experience, how long does it take for an uploaded app to pass from "In review"-status to being able to sell it - assuming its passed, of course?

My app and it's first update both took about 7 days. Then another day for it to actually show up on the new/updated list in my category.

I've had apps in review for a range between less than 2 days and over 2 months. Averaging about 5 to 7 days for simple, non-controversial, app updates during the past few weeks.

ymmv.

I'm no developer but I am guessing that there is a positive correlation between the size of the app and how long it takes to be accepted.

It has little to do with the size of the app, and much more to do with how close the app cuts to the many, various and implied rules and guidelines in the SDK agreement, iTunes store agreement, and the human interface guidelines. Some of the rules checking seems to be tightening up over time. Just because some previous app got accepted doesn't mean that another submission cutting close to the same rule won't be rejected.

ymmv.

Agreed that it all depends on how close it is to potentially violating anything (and just luck perhaps). Under a week is typical for simple, nothing controversial, but no guarantees unfortunately.
