I started an hour ago and it's only done 13 or 3000+ songs.

Will it be done by Christmas?

Who knows?

I started uploading my library of 15,948 songs yesterday morning, and it still hasn't finished uploading. 1,900 songs to go, but it is very slow going.

6300 songs took about 5 hours the first time around. Then I had to play with errors and ineligible songs... But it works very well in the background...

It took me about eight hours to upload about 3000 songs. It finished overnight. My internet connection sucks though. It took an hour to upload an album of seventeen tracks earlier this afternoon.

Well after 5 hours today my iTubes had managed to upload only 139 songs. So im guessing my Christmas timetable is right on.

interesting.... maybe I'll try to upload my 12K songs over night then......

i wake up this morning and check my progress and now it says it's at 1 of 3035 items.

I don't know what the heck is going on... I've been staring at it for 10 min and the little wheel is spinning in the sidebar next to iTunes Match but it's still on the...

wait, as i'm typing this is just restarted the whole process over. by itself.

DAMMIT!

I'd bet there's just too much traffic on their servers since this product just launched. I'm sure it will eventually speed up.

Mine is on step 2, and it's at 17747 of 17840 Songs Checked. I started the process last night at about 7 PM, and at 11, it was up to 17740 songs. I have a feeling I'm gonna be waiting a while before this is done.

mine keeps freezing on the remaining 61 songs to upload -.- it also doesnt seem to be doing anything cuz i dont see it saying the current uploading song in the progress bar. My fan starts to run crazy and itunes wont close unless i force quit and thats me on 8GB ram and a 100mbit connection. Its been taking forever for 1800 songs and like i said it keeps getting stuck on the last 61 songs

For what it's worth, my 17,840 took almost exactly 24 hours. I have no idea how many songs had to be uploaded, versus how many were matched. I was pretty impressed that all but maybe two dozen songs were successfully matched or uploaded.

Forever

My original library was 14921 songs. I have had it running since the first avail moment of the launch. Went well for the first 10,000 songs.......... For the last three days since I have uploaded 10000 songs. Maybe by thanksgiving. I keep restarting when it is not specific about what it is loading. I have noticed when it tells you the album it is working on your good. When it just says album and art work I think your f...ed. So I end it and restart iTunes. Any advice????

5K songs took about 12 hours. A lot of the issue was some of those songs were very high bitrate.

So amount of files is not the biggest factor.

I finally got to a point where it was uploading the non matched songs. In 2 hours time, I uploaded 113 songs. Its telling me I have 9500 total that need to be uploaded. I will most likely let it run all night tonight and then try to do the rest in bits and pieces over the next few nights.

My thing was that Match stopped uploading after my mac went to sleep, and rather than starting where it left off, I found myself logged out of Lion and having to restart iTunes, and restart teh Match process all over again. Still trying to get through a mere 1400 songs that iTunes can't match in the store. Meanwhile my iPhone 4 music.app simply crashes when Match is turned on. Ten second white screen, crash. Consistently... I guess the whole process must be completed successfully first? I dunno. seems like another half assed new product rollout to me. But I'm a fanboy.. so I wait.

After 12 hours of running, it only made it through 375 songs. Still over 9000 to go. I'm really beginning to feel like I'll need to wait and upload them after a couple of week if the service begins to settle down. I only got matches to a bit less than 2/3 of my itunes library. I'm not surprised by that since a lot fo the music I have cannot be found in iTunes.

Similar story to everyone else - I leave it run and come back to find that 68 or some random number of songs upload and it's frozen. Restart the process and it will upload another random amount of songs. Then, strangely, yesterday, it uploaded 1200 songs, and I thought maybe I was going to get this thing finished with by the end of today. It stopped again shortly after dinner - 4 songs uploaded, got it started again, stopped, repeat lather rinse. Woke up this morning to find that it had stopped sometime shortly after I went to bed, another 60 songs uploaded. I also noticed it would stop and start itself! When I got home yesterday and saw the huge number of uploaded songs, I stepped away, then came back and it was just restarting step three again. Weird.

I wish it would finish partially uploaded albums first. I've got albums with one song missing, but other albums completely upload instead. Would love to know what the algorithm is for determining what goes when and why.

Nearly 48 hours so far...

I have been uploading around 2,700 songs to Imatch for the last two days. The freezes continue and each time it is necessary too go back to square one. I have uploaded nearly 2,100 files so far so the end is on the horizon. But it seems to get worse and worse and the freezes (Itunes has stopped working. Please sign out and then sign in again) getting closer and closer together. No one else seems to have written on this thread since November -- does that mean that I am the only person hitting these problems? And is there anything that can be done?
