I know for a iPhone even the biggest battery one it is only 2 to 3 hours more if your lucky. Curious if it is the same for a iPad ?

Depends on what game and what settings as some games are more demanding than others.

It’s not great. The first time I burned through my Air 4’s charge after what seemed like a fairly short Genshin Impact session I actually thought I might have a defective unit. I had to go looking up reviews to ensure that what I was seeing was just normal behavior. That’s a notably demanding game, however.

Exactly like on iPhones: a lot worse when compared with light use. How long exactly? Depends on a million factors: iPad model, iOS version, settings (brightness primarily), and of course, which game.

I don’t play a lot, but I’ve tried it. My 9.7-inch iPad Pro (unfortunately, forcibly updated to iOS 12, which really degraded its battery), got about 2 hours with 75% remaining starting from 100% with some Minecraft at 50% brightness back when it was on iOS 9. Lower brightness and light use typically gave me about 4.5 hours. So a little under half? Maybe 6 hours?

After it was forcibly updated? 2 hours would probably drop it to 60% at best, maybe even lower. It won’t be good, regardless, unless it’s a very light game. For an intensive game like you asked? Really bad, regardless of the model and the iOS version.

In its case.
Both Roblox and Minecraft will take my M1 iPad Air 5 from 100% to 20% or less in about 6 or 7 hours. I know that there are more demanding games.

If you ask “Why do you play Roblox that long?” I will answer: Grandchildren. 😊❤️

It depends on kind of game.. Not All game are equal, light games only use like 200mb ram and 700mhz core but the Most highly graphic recommended at least 3GB Ram or more and should have at least 6 to 12 cores or 2.0ghz and up.

but here is my usage from my iPad 10th gen with only 40% 🔆 brightness.

1. Genshin Impact: 6 Hours
2. Call Of Duty Mobile: 7 Hours
3. Mobile Legends 7.5 Hours
4. Roblox (Most demanding one) 8 To 10 hours… remember Roblox has so many games.. some game can drain less and others is highly graphic and will heat device just us much as Mobile legend or Genshin.
5. Asphalt 9 … hmm maybe 9 hours
6. Clash of Clans.. My old game but last me the like 11 hours.
7. Puzzle Games : 12 hours.

I have my iPad 10 on about 20-25% brightness and CODM goes down about 10-11% in 1hr of play. I have my settings at Medium graphics and Max framerate

Most of the time when playing on iPad (I'm playing The Last Campfire atm), I keep it plugged in. Because it will drain the battery quickly.
It's maybe worth noting that this is a 2018 12.9" iPad Pro and according to coconutBattery the battery is down to about 90% design capacity so that may have an impact as well.

Your Genshin must be at lowest graphics setting and 30 fps. I use my M1 iPad Pro 11 at max settings and 120 fps, but about 20% brightness and I’m lucky to get 3 hrs from 100%. And that’s in a cool environment. Temp usually about 69 deg Fahrenheit. If I play on the balcony in the humid and hot sun, within 15 min the iPad throttles performance and I’m lucky to get an 1 1/2 hr. It’s also encased in an Otterbox! Too many factors. Mileage may vary.
