I went on a priority list for a 32GB WIFI model on Monday, and I've been trying to figure out how long of a list it is, and NO ONE IS GIVING ME AN ANSWER. I even called them and they didn't know.

So I'm asking all of you.

(APPRX.) HOW LONG IS THE PRIORITY LIST FOR THE iPAD?

What have your experiences been? Would it be reasonable that it would be ready tomorrow? Thanks for ANY help.

My experience isn't going to be that helpful, because it's over a month old. But it seems to depend a lot on what model you're getting. Husband wanted a 32GB 3G right after their release, and he waited about 8 business days. He could've had one sooner if he hadn't wanted 3G--all they got in on several of those days were wifi only. I picked up a 16GB wifi a week later, having only been on the waiting list for four. At that time, it was faster to go on the list than to order online...not sure if that's still the case.

But yeah, the Apple Stores really don't know from day to day what's going to come in the next shipment. Seems insane, but it's true.

Wow, that's crazy. We already have most models (all but one) of iPads in stock in store. Apple case also in stock. But that's Canada.

Check out the Best Buy website.

They currently have the 64GB WiFi and 64GB 3G models in stock in Chicago. If you are set on the 32GB WiFi, you might find that they get in stock soon.

How long is the BLOODY priority list for iPad? AHHH

Check the regular list, not the bloody one unless you are a vampire?

I got on the list last Friday for a 16gb wifi iPad. Found one this past Wednesday when Best Buy happened to get a shipment of 10 in at one store near my office. Sped over there and grabbed one immediately and then canceled my priority list reservation.

The Apple Store told me it would be about two weeks, so I figured I'd do that as a backup while I stalk Best Buy's website in the afternoons (when they seem to get their stock and update the site).

It took me 13 days. I'm still on another store's list and its been over 2 weeks. Yet, I've heard where in one store not too far away it only took 2 days. It's a BIG depends on where the store is located and the amount of people who want it. If you reserved it, it will come:).

I got placed on the list exactly one week ago for the 16gb wifi. All I've gotten so far was an email from Apple telling me that I was "moving up" the list. I'm in the same boat as you good sir, can't freaking wait and every morning that I wake up with no email, my heart breaks a little bit more.

Ok, thank you everyone for the replies, it's been very helpful. Can I reserve an iPad at 2 different Apple stores, or does that break the priority list policy?

It goes by your email address I think, so if you use two different addresses, you should be able to.

Incidently, for my 16gb wifi I only had to wait 5 days (at the time online shipping times were quoted as 7-10days)

I was on the list at 2 apple stores for 9 days each. Not even one email saying I moved up on the list. I have been checking local best buys and bought one wenesday night (16gb wi-fi). Basically, if the lists are huge at your apple stores, your best bet is calling best buy everyday cause apple ipads are basically reserved

Ok, thanks. Yes, I could get the 64GB 3G version from Macmall, but I don't want to pay $830. I want the 32GB WIFI version. Anyways, yea, I'm hoping my best bet is Best Buy. I'm calling them every day, but them usually only seem to have the 64GB versions in stock. I'm also starting to check Craigslist every day.

I ordered mine (32gb 3g) from the apple store July 12th. Expected ship date is the 26th. Hopefully it will ship sooner. The wait is killing me!

Thank you very much for the tip!!! I drove to North Aurora (Which was only a 25 minute drive), and I now have a 32GB iPad!!! It's syncing as we speak. I'm so excited. :) :)
