I used to have it set for :30, but I send/receive so many iMessage voice memos that I went back to 1:00 because the message would stop playing when the phone locked after 30 seconds.

Just curious to see how other people roll...

I've always kept it at the 1 minute default, unless I was doing something that required the screen to stay on and would set it to "Never" temporarily.

I keep it on "never" and rely on turning off screen myself. Sometimes I have no idea how long would I stay on screen but not actively using the phone.

For about 6 years I've kept it at 2 minutes. For whatever reason this year I upped it to 3 minutes. I think because of the increased battery life I get on my 6s, I don't feel the need to baby my battery anymore. I can get 10+ hours of usage on my 6s. So what's an extra minute here and there. Additionally, when I am done with the phone, I always lock it. The only reason why I keep the screen on is waiting for messages, browsing the web or just putting the phone down for a few seconds.

I may give this a try. It's really annoying to remind myself to constantly touch the screen while listening to an audio iMessage to make sure the screen doesn't lock.

1 minute on iPhone, 5 minutes on iPad. I use the iPad a lot for reading, internet, forums, books etc. so it's more convenient.
