Thinking about picking up another ipad but dont' want to get stuck on 3.2.2

Anyone have a guess if retail stock in the store has already been upgraded?

3.2.2 has been out for a while now so it may have already been put onto them as the stock is continually being shipped out the door.

I got my iPhone 4 a week after the 4.0.1 update was released and my phone already had it installed. So I'm going to guess that the iPad already has the 3.2.2. installed as well (my educated guess).

A guy at work just received his iPad last week, a direct Apple shipment from China and it did NOT have the update pre-installed.

But you also can't jailbreak 3.2.1 which is the one before this one so....

As far as I know jailbreakme works on 3.2.1 due to the PDF 'hole.' I am somewhat hesitant to jailbreak from now on as Apple is applying for a patent for a kill switch (engadget post sometime today, yes i'm lazy to paste link for now) which [as per my correct understanding] detects if the device has been jailbroken or not. Not too sure how far it will go as jailbreak is no longer technically 'illegal.'

As per the question asked by the OP, I do not know if they are shipping with 3.2.2 pre-loaded. I purchased mine 3 days after 3.2.1 was released and it came pre-installed.

My mom got an iPhone 4 a day after 4.0.1 update and 4.0.1 was already on it. They get the software on quick.

So....I've had my iPad for two weeks on 3.2.1 and was convinced it wouldn't be. Tried it just now and you're right it works. Sorry man! And thanks!
