How long will it take for the bottom end version of iMac to be faster than the current top end version (3.06 GHz)? In one years time? Two years?

Question 2
How long will it take for the bottom end and top end iMac to be faster than the current standard recommended Mac Pro?

2008 bottom end iMac is now 2.4 GHz, top end 2007 was 2.8 GHz, top end 2006 was 2.16 GHz. So basically a couple of years.
