Everytime I've been to one of these stores, its always been at least a 20 minute wait. do you think that it will be any faster for the iphone launch? I can see a line for current customers who are upgrading, and another for new customers. am I wrong? :)

I've camped out for both the 360 and the PS3... The 360 was about 16 hours in December (2nd shipment) and I camped out twice for 2 PS3's, one for 23 hours and one for 29 hours. I guess after all my experience, I would love to camp out for this product too. Camping out is not a waste of time but rather an experience. If you are as excited to get this new piece of hardware from Apple, what a better way to build your hype with plenty of other people in the exact same situation as you? I plan to camp out for about 12-14 hours...

Unfortunately, I'm limited by work. I'll be taking a half day Friday though, so I should be in line somewhere by 12:30 at the latest. So...about 5-6 hours I suppose.

I am still unsure. I plan on head over to the store at 9-10 AM to see whats going on. If it is dead I will probably head downtown to the 5th ave store and see whats going on there, but for the most part I will stay right around the local att store to see when things pick up. I am anticipating the worst, but I have an instinct that we are all overestimating the crowds who will actually purchase one.
