I am thinking I need to book an Apple Care appointment because I when listening to music with bluetooth earphones or the standard pods that comes with the 8plus....the volume is too low imo.
I literally have to put the music on max volume and even then its not that loud.....

I am thinking there might be something wrong with my iPhone 8 plus which I only bought like a month ago or is this how it is supposed to be? I don't like my music blazing loud....but I should be loud but it shouldn't be as quiet as it is imo....

I had been testing an 8+ and an X - I used a B&O BT headset along with linking to Marley BT speakers and found that the sound volume control on the phone side was more than adequate. I have not used the stock headset - they don't fit my ears right.

Based on your post, I would recommend taking it in.

Thanks for the reply
How loud do you put your volume aT? Halfway?
I use Apple Music.

Just a bit over half way. I tend to use You Tube, Tunein Radio, or Google Play Music. In my car I usually have it 75% or higher (synced to car sound system).
Hmmm
I use Apple Music mainly
Maybe I have a faulty phone perhaps? I find I have to put my volume at least 85% of the way high

Or is it the because I am using EarPods which are not high quality?

I have a coworker who has an X and uses the stock earphones. He has his volume set just over half.
Is this just music or is the normal call feature on you phone low also?

My 7 is max volume when I’m cycling to work listening to podcasts. In the car it’s maxed over audio cable too with its aux jack. Only time is when playing music with headphones since that can be very load.

I generally think podcasts are quieter. Apple Music quality might be better therefore appear to be louder.

Music really or am I being paranoid
I have the 8plus...is it the same audio make up as the X?
Maybe I should take it in and see....
