So Apple said everyone had power bricks - how many new 12 owners have bought new bricks to use with them? And if so how many have each bought?

I’ve always been under the impression that the faster you charge a phone, the bigger impact you have on longevity of the battery in the device. That being said, I bought an iPhone 12 pro and have continued to use the 5 watt charger I’ve been using for years. My iPhone 11 last year was sold with 97% battery capacity. I have had a usb-c to lightning cable since the iPhone X that I will use in a pinch when I need juice fast but most of the time my phone lasts all day and charges all night. YMMV

Nope, I’ve got lightning cables coming out my ears, just as Apple said. I appreciate the USB-C cable, since I can now use my MacBook charger if I am in need of a quick charge, but most of the time just using the same Qi pad on my nightstand overnight.

I won't buy it. I have several charges around the house (wired and wireless) that I'll continue using. For quick charge I can use the macbook's charger or my 18W charger.

Still using my 5W brick as I never really need fast charging. Have a 10W iPad Mini brick if I need it to charge a bit quicker. Only extra I bought for my 12 Pro was a 2M Anker Braided USB-A to Lightning cable as I only had the cable that came with my XR and that went with the phone when I sold it.

Certainly not giving Apple £19 for a 1M cable when the Anker one was under £7.

We purchased 2 iphone 12s. We've now purchased 3 power bricks that have both USB-A and USB-C ports. But we've purchased a couple sets of bluetooth headphones in the last year that didn't come with power bricks so this solved multiple problems.

We did give away one of the Apple power bricks and cords to the family member that "inherited" the XR as she's new to the Apple ecosystem. The other one we kept for our son to use.

Huge battery nerd here, made of parts of lesser battery nerds. Not only do I use the 5w charger at night. Its on a timer to run 90 minutes to charge me in into the 90s (%) then stops, gets through the day no problem, no other battery management. Lord help me, but I do keep phones for a long time and get passed down.

Already have their 18W and 29W chargers. I won't be buying a new one anytime soon. My 2 meter Lightning to USB-C cable is frayed something fierce though, so I'll have to get a new one of those soon since the one in the box is only 1 meter.

We have the old 5W adapters, 12W ipad adapters and one 18W iPP that I got this year.

I bought three magsafe for our family, but I am thinking of returning it due to throttling wattages. I was planning on using these pucks with RavPower adapters, which I have ordered. I got one that has two usb-c port at 90W (to use with my MBP, iPP 2020 & magsafe) then i got another one at 61W USB-C just for the magsafe (or direct charging) and another one with 30W which has USB-C and USB-A for magsafe and charging the iPad Air 2.

Just got to make sure that its 9V 2.22A with PD 3.0.

Going to use my 5W phone charger that I have been for the last 5 years. Also, have a 10W iPad charger also. Right now sitting tight with what I already have. Probably better for the battery life not to use fast charging.

I've bought a new 2xUSBC 2xUSBA desktop charger, as my current one only has 1 PD port and I'll need a second one for the magsafe charger.

I’m going to buy apples new charger when I purchase the new iPhone, mainly because I’m transitioning to only usb-c chargers and so far I only have one for my iPad Pro.

Coming from a 6....i bought the Apple brick. We have plenty of USB A - lightening in our house, but I wanted one fast charging brick.

No new power bricks here. Have plenty of them around, as well as lightning to USB cords. The lightning to USB-C cords are not used, as the only USB-c device I have are my MacBook pros.

I have no need for fast charging, as I generally only charge overnight- the phone has plenty of juice to last me through the day.
