iPad mini How many amps can the ipad mini 4 use while charging?

I’m a private pilot, and I’m flying with the iPad mini 4 for navigation, weather reports and traffic data.

The problem is that my 2.1 amps charger can’t keep up with the high demand of the constant navigation, screen on and data connection.

I can get a 2.4 amps charger but I’m not sure that it would make such a difference. I’m wondering - how high can I go with the ipad still taking advantage from the higher amps.

I use an Apple 12W wall charger with my iPad mini 2. It works great. I use a 2.4A charger in my car. It works great.
