So I am about to head off to the apple store tomorrow and pick up my 12th appleTV. Of course they are not all for me. I have 2 in the house and the rest have either been gifts or simply purchase and installs that friends have paid me back for. Either way I am quite happy with the units I have purchased and set-up. So how many have you purchased? (not repurchased)

I purchased one when they first came out. Looooved it. Then I have purchased 2 that I gave away to employees. Then I bought myself another 40gb in September. Then not all to long ago I replaced my original 40gb with a 160gb. Looking back now with Take 2 out I feel the upgrade to the 160Gb was not needed. Either way .. love em all.

Kevin :apple:

I havent made the leap of buying a 160gb version yet, however for my mother in law I think I might because if something nixes with the streaming she would be in a little trouble. She really only uses it to watch movies but now that the writers strike is over I am sure she will want some TV shows too. Either way, if I can take her off of streaming it would be alot easier. Maybe for her month of May gift.

I don't think you can really count the ones for other people, especially if they pay you for them. I have one and will get another for our bedroom tv when we remodel as well as get a new widescreen tv.

Only 1 for now. I would buy a 2nd to hook up to my parents TV, but they're still using an old analog set that only has a coaxial input. For their wedding anniversary i'm thinking of getting them an LCD TV and an :apple:TV.

I bought two when they came out, one for my Hi Def 46" Bravia and the other is in my HT in the Basement hooked to an older 65" Projection TV, that one has'nt gotton used much at all , In fact I have'nt even updated it yet.

0 for me. but do plan on purchasing 2 this year, one for our living room and one for my studio to show slideshows on.

Ok thats fair. Than in that case I am at 5. 2 in the house, one for my sister, one for my parents and one for a friend for his anniversary. But some of the ones people have paid me back for I got at Best buy so I got the reward zone points, does that count? lol:D

Man, you are an :apple: evangelist spreading the good word. I have 2 :apple:TVs. One for the family room and another for the bedroom.

4 so far - Lounge, Family Room, Bedroom and eldest son's bedroom.

Frankly with the streaming ease of the Take 2 software it is the most perfect media centre box for luddite use (PC's are too complicated and take too long to start up for missus/kids/guests).

About to head to the States and can see another 2 coming back with me - one for the kitchen and one for my youngest sons bedroom - all the DVD players except the lounge are going on ebay :)

Out of interest - is there a limit to how many you can have connected to one itunes server?

I have 3, 160GB for me (I don't use the space there, so I kind of regret buying this model) and 1 for each of my kids room. (2)

I can't believe that people own more than one Apple TV until now. Apple TV as a VCR/DVD player. :D

Gave in (ha!) and picked up my 2nd one today.

I 'smuggled' the first one by hooking it up the bedroom TV. The lady was OK with it in there since it was out of the way and all that. Now that I'm 500+gb deep into ripping everything she really enjoys it.

It was slowly getting to the point that any time we mentioned watching TV we went straight to the bedroom to watch it aside from 'big' stuff like new episodes of Lost for example. With the summer TV season rapidly approaching I joked to her this morning that we should get a 2nd one and she agreed! haha

So now I have 2 up and running without any problems.

The cow just moo'ed so that means I need to go queue up some more movies!
