Over 50.

Yes, you can sync selected apps. just go to the applications tab in iTunes (when your phone is plugged in), and select which apps you want to sync.

Over 70, most of them games that I write reviews for. I've easily spent over $150 since the App Store opened. Lately I've been needing to start budgeting (bloody gas prices.)

It probably doesn't help that I'm a sucker for digital distribution. I'm always buying games on XBLA and Steam.

I have over 50 because I snatch everything thats free just in case they charge later. I sync very very few of them though maybe around 12 at any given time.

Uhm, the phone comes with 18 apps. (19 if you count 'Settings')

So what's with the first 2 choices on the poll?

I have 54 on my phone and probably another 8-10 on my computer that are un-synced. I refuse to go over 4 pages on the phone, so if I add more now I tend to un-sync something first.

I have 58 applications in my iTunes library with 30 being synced to my iPhone at this moment in time but I am slowly weeding out the ones that I don't use that often/at all.

i selected 21-45 in the poll thinking that there was NO WAY that i had more than 45 apps. then i decided to check......and i have over 50 apps!!! haahahha, unfortunately there's no way to change my poll selection.

i can't believe that i'm officially an app store whore

I have 34 of them, but only use about 28. I have an RRS feed that come to my mailbox when new apps are released. So I am pretty quick to know when apps update or when they are released.

I've also downloaded a few apps just because it said they were free for a limited number of downloads or that they were free for a few weeks time, just incase they are any good so I don't have to pay for them late. I also keep a list of apps to keep an eye on when they are released that I may want to purchase down the road so I dont forget the name.

I have an app problem...its just too tedious to look through page after page of apps.

Damn I have 51. I didn't realize I had that many. I think a few I took of the phone though.

Only 11, 4 of which are games...2 of which I dont even play (waiting for updates) LOL
I cant stand clutter or apps that already do the same thing as normal iphone functions, or something I can easily get to online, so I dont bother downloading the ones that I wont or will only rarely use, or ones that I can use another function for.

I hate having to swipe a lot to get to diff apps, so I keep it to a minimum.

I assumed the poll meant in addition to those 18 (or 19), not including those base apps.

BTW, I wanted to note that even with the 50+ apps I have (and I just added two more!), my backup is still not long at all; my entire sync takes about 8 minutes, so having a large number of apps isn't the cause of those crazy long backups that some people are having.
