Is it different for each apple device or the same? If I get a second pair, can I use both on my ipad at the same time? What about iphone and apple tv? I am getting a macbook pro this year so would that support multiple airpods connected at once?

I'm not sure about AppleTV, but absolutely yes for iPad / iPhone. It's super simple - in control center, tap the blue icon where the player is and add another pair there. On-screen instructions will walk you through the process.

It's more complicated for the Macbook - I think there's finagling involved with multiple audio outputs.

Here's how: Apple Docs

Perfect. Thank you. I mostly use ios devices with my gf when I go to her place anyways so being able to hook up 2 to my ipad is enough for me. Anything else was just bonus. Thank you
