cause every monitoring thing im running shows only one fan running, and one core is hotter than the other, im a little worried i got a defective mac for my first one. help!

Mine is very hot, I'm pretty nervous too.
CPU 1 is 119 F, ect.

Mine has been at 140. Someone else told me theirs has been between 150-180. I was worried, but now I'm over it. Once I took it into apple, the genius told me not to worry until the computer shuts itself down.

When it says Core Duo, its all in one die. So there will not be 2 fans for the CPU itself, just one.

From what I have read, it is generally normal for dual cores to have 1 core run hotter than the other.

how do u knwo at what temp each of your cpus' at? istats only tells me one cpu . CPU A

If you are scared, just use Fan Control and raise the base speed of the fan. You'll barely hear the difference, but that keeps the Macbook some degrees cooler...
