I currently own the 64 GB wifi version. I will be waiting for the next generation in hopes for a face time camera and better resolution before I buy another.

1 personally--16GB wifi. Husband has 32GB 3G. Among three generations of extended family, we're now at 6 ipads total--one for each person except my father in law.

But I can't honestly see having more than one apiece. What would be the point?

2: 16gb WiFi (release day) & 64gb 3G for more traveling capacity. I didn't mind handing off the 16gb to the kids...it's been a huge hit!

How many iPad's do you own? I own one 16GB wifi iPad, but I may get another 16GB one but in 3G

As of today: One, the 16 GB WiFi-only version. But I'm actually still waiting for the UPS shipment, which is supposed to arrive today. So technically I'm just a paying customer who hasn't received his goods yet.

I don't see a need for the 3G version. I already have an iPhone, and wherever I go, there's usually a wireless LAN around. And if not, I can still 'magically' hook it up to my iPhone. ;-)

I also don't see a need for an iPad with more memory installed. This device clearly lives in the cloud and I don't intend to carry a movie collection around on it or much music. Like I've said, I already own an iPhone, and even there 8 GB are definitely enough for my mobile needs. I've got a 27" Quad Core iMac at home for everything else.

I have 1. I am thinking I might get some for my parents for Christmas but I'm not sure. They have seen mine and they both thought it was really cool but they weren't like omg I want it...but they are never like that with tech stuff because I always give them my old stuff. I wish they were cheaper because I think they would be very good for them.

Not so much a grammar Nazi as a grammar botanist: Why did you want to put an apostrophe in "iPads"? I teach linguistics, and I'm genuinely interested in this.

Isn't that to represent ownership? Sorry not the best with that type of thing myself.

Yes. But the OP wasn't talking about his iPad's screen for example (the screen the iPad owns) but asking what number of iPads people own. So there shouldn't be an apostrophe. I'm guessing OP wouldn't write "how many car's do you own"...?
