Nowhere has damn stock so I imagine quite a few!

Constantly sat refreshing the PC World site waiting for that red cross to disappear....I'm not convinced that is accurate...

From my experience at the Regent Street store on day two, the Saturday, I guess they were selling between 2,000 and 4,000 on the initial few days from that store alone.

No idea but I do not know of anyone in person who has one, or seen anyone else using one in the last month. Everywhere I go i get looks from using one, and still get asked the questions

"Is that an iPad?"

"Are they as good as they say they are?"

Apple never realise the number of sales from the UK. I doubt that we will ever know.

Come to Birmingham then. The Apple store here claim to have stock of 16 and 64gb versions, it's the 32 that seems to be out of stock at the moment.

32GB with or without 3G seems to be the sweet spot. When I got mine there were loads of 16GB and 64GB models, but only one 32GB wit 3G which I snapped up.

What's not special about the UK? :)

It's nice to have a figure, I haven't really seen any iPads about in Public even though the 3G models have been so popular.

I haven't seen many in public tbh, a lot of people at the iPad stall in an apple store using it.

Woohooo I finally got one!

I'm from Norwich - they're not gonna have stock until next year!!

I'm on a course in London this week so managed to pick one up from Brentford after they took a delivery this morning.

All that page refreshing paid off :D

Its the home of BP..... We know how much you Yanks love our oil :D:D:D:D

If we did that to your coast we would be paying each of you a compensation for three generations. How is ruining wild life and our fisheries funny? And how about all those yanks that depend on the water for a living to put food on the table and a roof over the heads of their family. I hope they go out of business and the stupid idiots in charge of this mess get canned when the take over happens. I also hope your ipad crashes so you stop posting your stupid humor!

Thanks WhatAmI those are the exact metrics I need. For those that asked Im working on UK based project and need the sales figures for the business case. Hopefully make the job of talking to the bank manager a bit easier

<OT>

It's not, and let me assure you the majority of people in the UK are as aghast at the total incompetence being displayed by BP as anyone else. They've made billions for years and still can't put a decent safety plan in place. Madness... However, I am forced to point out that many US companies (Exxon, anyone?) have just as poor an environmental record: it's more a problem with corporations as a whole than with those from any particular country.

While you've got a good vantage from your high horse, take a look at Exxon. 5 billion dollars in punitive damages reduced to 500 million after 20 YEARS in your "justice" system. But they're Good Ol' Boys, they're different. While I'm happily amongst the first to bag the poms, the rhetoric coming out of the US over this issue is shamelessly hypocritical.
