Would it be necessary to buy that Apple Quad-Channel 4GB Fibre Channel PCI Express Card? I mean I do transfer GB of items day by day.

Don't waste your money.

Invest in a nice Firewire 800 drive, or get a USB 3.0 PCI card and USB 3.0 HDD.

Unless you already have a Fibre channel interface (and if you do, you already have your answer) , you would need to also invest into that.

Even USB 2.0 could transfer something like 3.5TB of data in a 24hr period (theoretical, more like 3TB actial). Gigabit Ethernet can theoretically do 10.8TB (again prob more like 8-9TB real life). No you don't need anything fancy.... Let is know if you need to start moving 4K Raw video files in real time....

Do you have a fiber channel RAID with around 16 drives to attach your machine to?

If not, then no, you definitely do not have a use for it.
