I don't take many mobile photos. But it's nice to have the auto archive feature whenever I open Aperture. Worth it? Terrific thing is that it's free :)

I take alot of photos with my iPhone. Currently I just plug up to iTunes and transfer all my photos to the computer that way. So I've been thinking about activating photo stream as an alternative way to get my photos transferred.

My fiance and I share one Apple id but have different iCloud accounts. Will our photos download separately or will they combine into one the one Photo Stream album?

I love it. I take a lot of photos and it's nice to have almost immediate access on my MBP. It's definitely a time saver and very efficient.

I love it and hate it....and i'll tell you why:

Love: I love that it because I now never have to sync my iPhone to my Mac to have my photos in iPhoto. If I take a photo, I know it's saved forever on my MBP.

Hate: I hate an iPad and live in a dorm, so friends are always on my iPad and that means they can see every single photo i've taken (or screenshot). This is bad if I take a NSFW photo with a girl or something...but word has it an upcoming update will allow you to manage this.

I would love to use it but my 2 year old Mac isn't supported (yet my friend's 4 year old Windows PC is...).

That's a simple question for me... Compared to Galleries it is a joke...

I have 3 macs, an iPad and an iPhone. My wife has an air and an iPad. I simply DO NOT need photos synced in that many locations... Why would I?

The four things I want to do with my photos are:
1) Back them up.
2) ORGANISE THEM INTO ALBUMS - ONLINE!!!!
3) View them on all of my devices including my apple TV (or print them).
4) Easily share them with other family members in other places and allow them to download and / or contribute photos to family albums...

MOBILEME Galleries gave me all of that... What the hell else would you or could you want to do with photos??? Galleries wasn't broke and didn't need fixed...

In fact, MobileMe was working flawlessly for me (in my business and personally). Then apple announced iCloud which simply robs functionality from MobileMe...

MobileMe made it easier to own multiple devices and have them work in harmony...

Losing: GALLERIES, iDisk, doc sync, keychain sync, mail sync (smart folder, signatures etc) and more. Was a stupid move that really ticks me off...

I guess in the scheme of life I will get over it because it isn't all that important to me... SO HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU!!!

Yes, I use it and despite a few issues that they need to resolve, it is fantastic.

Despite having a great rangefinder and a pocket camera by the same maker, given that my iPhone is always with me, it is what I use to take pictures 99.999% of the time.

Now that I use Photostream, I never worry about transferring photos. It all just works so that when I get home, everything is already on my server and my main photo-editing machine.

What I want to know is how can I delete all the photos on my phone without wiring up to the mothership?

I use it and it works like a charm. Whenever I take a picture with my iPhone it's mostly just for jokes or something small so it's good they're kept apart in iPhoto and easily removable.

Ok I'm sold lol. I can't seem to get the My Photo Stream downloads folder to show up. The main Photo Stream folder is there with the uploads folder inside but theres no downloads folder? Am I missing something? I'm using Windows Vista.

I don't use it. I rarely take photos. I save all kind of photos from sites that I visit and those pictures end up in the photo roll so they would get upload to the stream. Don't need them uploaded.

Once they make it so that I can delete pics from the stream then I'll begin to use it again which is rumored to be included in 5.1.
