I must have read about over 40 people on this forum exchanging macbooks for replacement versions (for heat, white, mooing and etc). OF course, this is just one forum and a small select group of people. However, if this community is experiencing so many problems, how many macbook replacements do you think apple is giving out nation wide?

I'll bet it's well under 1%. For all the squawking that goes on here, there are a lot of happy users who aren't posting about their MacBooks.

Define "faulty". I see so many people here say...

"OMGBBQ, if I tilt my laptop 45.69 degrees to the side, I can see a hint of light shine through the seal around the screen. What is Apple doing about quality!?!?!?! I'm bringing up HELL and returning this thing!"

That is not faulty hardware, that's faulty brainpower.

I'm going to have to say 23,153.5 MacBooks have been shipped out as replacments... yes, 23,153.5 sounds correct...

Do you mean MBs or MBPs?

I was under the impression that there were far fewer problems with the MBs.

Well until Apple fixes the SOFTWARE fault which is causing the "mooing" people are just going to keep replacing their notebooks. I'm currently on IRC and 1 guy was complaining about it, another guy said move "IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext" to your desktop then reboot. When the guy with the problem rejoined the channel and started trashing his CPU the moo had gone, this is definitely a software issue that Apple need to acknowledge and release a fix for.

Sure there are people with real issues but 95% of the time the moo isn't 1 of them.
