Hi!

How many Watts does the iPad Air 4 support? I'm very impatient and would like to charge my iPad with a 30W, 60W or even a 96W charger

If it's the same as the Pros, then 30W is the max. You can plug it in to higher but it will only pull ~30W (+/- a few watts for inefficiency).

I have a Samsung 25 watt USB C brick, will it improve the charging efficiency on my iPad Pro or iPhone 12? Or should I get the 20watt apple USB C brick?

It should, but not by much. (not sure about the iPhone, but the iPad will for sure).

The Apple 30w USB-C chargers charge iPads faster, but it’s an exponentially decaying return. I don’t see too much difference using the 30w over the 18w on my 2018 pro.

I do notice on 2017 Pro 10.5 & 12.9 so you should still be able to as well. First 15-30 minutes is where you see the biggest improvement. Really convenient for quick top-ups before skedaddling.

Why would you want to charge it with anything more powerful than its included 20W power adapter? Its battery should last you pretty much all day and charging it overnight with a 20W charger will not overheat the battery, thus extending the battery’s overall lifespan.

Don’t they come with an 18w brick? I agree with your point though - the 18w is a very good charger.

According to Apple (Buy section) it is 20W ✌️

Is 30 max for both latest air and iPad Pro? I read somewhere that the pro could do 36w, is that true? and does someone know if my old 29W USB-C from Apple actually can pull 29W? Does the Air and Pro support that profile? I believe it is 14.5 volts times 2 ampere

I use a 120W charger since it doubles as my laptop charger. You won't really see much difference between 30W and 36W. As the battery fills up, the iPad pulls less power from the charger.

Quick top-ups when one might need to leave soon and can't wait for slow charging.
