I’m familiar with end user iCloud locked Macs but are corporate users able to do some other form of ‘locking’ that’s different from an end user iCloud lock? If I do ‘erase all content and settings’ will that tell me if a lock is present or do I need to do more steps to reveal all the possible locks?

This is for an Apple Silicon MacBook Pro.

Oh right there’s also the EFI password lock as well

Apple Silicon doesn't use EFI so there's no lock there. Corporate machines connected to MDM can be locked remotely which will cause the machine to restart and require a PIN code to unlock the machine before it starts booting.
