Approximately how much charge does your iPhone X drop overnight? And how long is your sleep (time iPhone is not in use)? Which iOS firmware are you on? Does 11.2.2 improve battery in any way?
This question DOES NOT apply to those who leave their phone on charge overnight.

Definitely 0-3%, usually closer to the 0 than the 3. Always on the latest publicly released (non-beta) firmware.
It's been that way for every iOS device I've ever owned. Phenomenal standby time.

Doesn't drop at all. I leave everything on, wifi, Bluetooth, email etc. Amazing standby time.

How much the iPhone drops overnight depends on many things: the signal, wifi, bluetooth, apps (background activity), how many email accounts etc..

I would say around 2-5 %. When it is full charged to 100% it will drop 0 %... 100 % takes always on all my iPhone the longest time to drop : )

0% in around 8h? noway. only when 100 % charged maybe but thats not "the true drop"... or maybe with flightmode etc...

I'm on iOS 11.2.2, one bar signal, wifi on, bluetooth off. 7 apps in background (Instagram, Snapchat, Settings, Twitter, Wallet, Mail, Photos, Alarm). Low Power and Do not Disturb Turned on. I was a sleep for 10 hours.
I dropped 20% charge. Normal or not?

hmm sounds a little bit much but with only one bar signal and these apps... Maybe take a look in Settings —> Battery

And maybe it will be better in the next days because it was maybe indexing etc...

My iPhone x 64gb space grey drops around 3-4 each night that with wi-fi turned off.
iOS version. 11.2.1

Between 5 and 10% with WiFi and Bluetooth ON and Do not disturb mode.
I think it’s a lot, don’t know what to do. Already turned off many things in the settings, including background refresh and localisation for system services.

That sounds

That sounds terrible. Disable background app refresh for instagram and snapchat at least.

Why does anybody even need background app refresh? It only takes a couple of seconds to load new content when you open an app like twitter or instagram after being offline for a while.

When I got my 8 Plus a couple of months ago I did a sweep of old iPhones that were still in my household but were no longer being used. This included a 5s running the latest OS and with it's original battery. I fully charged it to 100% while I wiped and restored it to factory settings, and tinkered with it a bit. I then left it powered on but in standby on my desk for over a week (8 or 9 days, maybe) untouched, connected to wifi, but no SIM. When I picked it up again, it still had something like 75% power.

That's right, an iPhone with a 4 year old battery only lost 25% power in 8-9 days of standby. I don't think it's normal when people report their phones losing nearly that much in 8-9 hours.

If I start with a full charge it doesn't drop at all. Otherwise maybe 1-2%.

iPhone X, 11.2.1.
I noticed my X loses around 7%, with 4G on overnight. If everything is off, still it loses about 2-3% over a 7 hour sleep period. I think its due to weak Vodafone signal strength in my area.
BG refresh is off for all apps.
