I now have and iPhone, iPad and a Mac. And it is a mess having the calendars in sync.

I'm looking into getting a MobileMe account, but currently I have only 150mb data plan.

Normally I only use around 70-80mb per month. Would MM use a lot of data? I'm not planning on using the email.

Calendar/contact syncing should not require too much data transfer. It should be 5 MB/month or something like that (maybe less)

Tis a good question. Don't know exactly but it must be very very little. My data usage is roughly consistent with 'normal' use and syncing seems to be insignificant.

Thanks for the answers.:)

I would also like to know how this Dropbox thing works. It might be just what I need.

Dropbox is just a idisk competitor, not contact/calendar syncing. You can use Dropbox, Google Calendar and Google Contacts together instead of Mobile me if you don't want to pay for the service. A little bit more difficult to set up, but works. (I assumed you are not against of Google's policies)
