How much does an original iPhone go for now?

Hey all! I just wanted to know how much a 4gb iPhone can run for if I were to put it up for sale. I AM NOT TRYING TO SELL IT HERE. The marketplace is for that... But yeah the reason I want to know if because I will be parting ways with my iPhone and just want to know what it can currently sell for so I can list it on Craigslist or something.

It has all the original accessories except the earphones since it broke... But all in all... the wall charger, usb cable, dock, and documents come with it as well as the box.

What I will add with it is a Speck ToughSkin Case, iSkin case, and DLO leather holster case.

The phone is in very very good condition. The only blemish on it that I currently see is on the black part of the phone at the bottom from when it was put in and taken out of the dock.

All in All, the phone has been babied since I got it when it came out. It is I guess what you can call a naked iPhone since it isn't unlocked or jailbroken as of now. It has been jailbroken before but never unlocked.

Last June I bought an 8GB original iPhone that has Apple care through December 29, for $150. It was in perfect condition with all accessories. They are pretty cheap these days.

Yeah it's gone down a lot but I searched ebay and craigslist and some of the listings for ebay run up to $250? and the craigslist ones were $150 for broken.... and these are the 4gb... Maybe I'm having too high hopes of getting good money for it?

Well because of forum rules... i'm not allowed to sell it here... unless its in the marketplace?

Also... I am trying to deal locally since they can actually see the product in hand.... unless she lives here in the silicon valley i can't really do nothing for ya.

I actually remember reading it here somewhere.... someone was posting ads for selling stuff and they were told by members that they aren't allowed to sell outside of the marketplace forum.... and that you can get into that forum once you reach a certain amount of posts.... or something... but yea... But yea sorry man... I don't ship. plus it sounds like i won't get over $150 for it.

Correct that you must have a post count of 250 or above and must have been a member for at least 6 months.... $150 sounds about right though, I have seen them go on CL for about $100 - $200!

Thanks for the response. I know I wasn't insane lol. But yeah $150 was about average from what I saw excluding cases. I'm throwing in 3 and kind of want more for it since I really don't want to part ways with it but the bills are killing me ~_~. I was thinking of asking like $180-200 for it... but yeah. As mentioned on my first post I am not trying to sell it here since I don't want to go against forum rules.

I would put it up there for at least 200.00 if your going to include all of the accessories, if you dont get any bites then lure it back in and throw it back out.. can't hurt - good luck!
 
LOL after reading this thread, I feel so happy I got $400 for an unlocked/jailbroken 1st gen right before I got my 3G. WOW, still cant believe that.
