I'm unable to find an official source that says if the Standard iPhone Development Program costs $99 per year, or $99 once.
I want to play a bit with developing iPhone software, but $99 a year isn't any fun.
Can an enrolled iPhone developer give a me confirmation?

You don't have to pay that unless you want to test the App on an iPhone or upload an App to Apple. Just FYI.

I do believe that it is $99 per year though. I don't think that it is actually in writting anywhere which is kind of crappy.

I would like to actually test the app on my iPhone. I don't like the simulator that much, it doesn't feel 'real'.
