I just bought a MBP with a 160 gig hard drive (Woo!). I'm going to be installing XP through bootcamp soon, but I'm having difficulty deciding how much of the internal HD to use for the XP partition. I'll be using XP mostly for games (installing at most 2 at a time, probably), and for casual use of photoshop and acrobat, probably using an external drive as a scratch pad. I might install MS Office for windows, to use until Office Mac 2008 comes out.

Would 40 gigs be enough for that? 50? 60?

40GB should be enough. I have a 160 as well, and I have 30GB partitioned. No more that 50GB though, Mac OS X is going to need that breathing room, trust me. :)

to save files from OS X and Windows, you will need to format using FAT32. i think there is a partition limit for that...32gig maybe?
