Hello guys,

I have these things and a guy is offering me 1000 Swiss Francs for it.

Apple Cinema HD 30" 2560x1600
Mac Pro 1.1->2.1 Dual Xeons X5355 8 Core 6GB GT 7300
Mac Pro 4.1 Dual Xeon E5520 8 Core 6GB GT 120
Mac Pro 5.1 Dual Xeon X5650 12 Core 12GB GT 120

I know there are mac pros for like 2k on ebay but they never sell.
 
1000 for all of that? I am sure few guys here willing to pay a bit more than that :D

Even the display is quite old, if in good condition, it can still easily sell >$200. The 1,1 don't worth much, but should be no problem for another $200.

The dual processor 4,1 and 5,1 sure can sell >$500 each.

However, I doubt if that's a real 5,1, or a 4,1 flashed 5,1. There is a huge difference on the dual processor model. The 5,1 worth much more. There should be no stock 5,1 shipped with GT120.

If there is no shipping cost, I am more than happy to pay you 1500 to get all of them :D

That's a lowball offer in the USA. I assume in Europe it's even more of a lowball offer, unless Macs are seriously undervalued in Switzerland for some reason I don't know about.
 
If i had money right now, i would right away make a deal with you for 5,1 for 500 CHF min. :)
I agree with others, sure you could get almost double that without any problem. 1500 if house is burning down.

A quick look at sold Mac Pros on Ebay.ch shows they go for a lot of money. I see 5,1 Mac Pros sold for 1000 to 2500CHF.

If you're in some sort of hurry and need to dump them with minimal work, then you do what you have to do. Maybe that's the right move for you. But you asked what they are worth, and they are worth far more than 1000CHF.

What this sort of question usually means is "What is the near-maximum I can get, given patience, luck, and the right buyer?" and I agree, the answer to that one is more than 1000CHF. Maybe 2000-ish. I'm also willing to bet that that valuation will persist for at least another 6 months to a year (minimum), so it's not like the stuff is worthless if you don't move it today.

"Worth to me" is a much trickier question and alas, only you can answer it. If you really need to move the stuff, and don't want to deal with finding a buy/sell forum, ebaying, shipping, etc etc, 1000 isn't the worst offer you might get.

The Mac Pro 4,1 and the Mac Pro 5,1 are worth more than CHF 1'000.- each in Switzerland. Look at eBay or Ricardo.
 
Doesn't matter now, important thing is that @GameFreak348 is satisfied with what he has done and that he unloaded stuff that he didn't have room for or patience to go through eBay auctions/shippings and so on...

P.S. And now i know that i can count on my Swiss forum friends to find me fair priced 4,1-5,1 when the time comes! :)
