Hello :)

Recently got given a pretty high spec iMac, which I will likely sell, and was wondering how much it's actually worth?

Specs below:

2015 27" (5120 x 2880) Built-in Retina Display
AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4096MB
macOS Sierra v10.12.1
4 GHz Intel Core i7
32 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
2TB Fusion Drive

Bought: January 2016

Thank you!

About $500, when can I pick it up.

Seriously you will see this model in the refurbished section for over $2,500 but paritially for overpaying for Apple Ram. My guess would be $1,800 - $2,000 from a unknown supplier no warranty etc....

You should look the model up on eBay, and other resellers to see what they are going for.

Haha ;) thanks for the advice.

When you mentioned warranty that got me curious, quick call to Apple and I'm told its under warranty until 30 April 2017, also the warranty is against the product and not the person :)

Worth a lot.

Sell on cl.

Sold mine on cl and got $100 less than what I paid (full price) for it.

But I am also a master negotiator, so there's that

That's a very expensive iMac for someone to merely be giving away. Do you know the origins of this Mac and that whomever gave it to you had the right to do so?

The iMac was left to me following a family bereavement. I sadly don't have any need for such a high spec iMac. I have the order receipt from January 2016 and have phoned Apple to confirm the warranty is still valid.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss.

You did well. Your buyer did not. If they were sensible, they would have walked on it, given the potential to save more on that by shopping for deals without the risk of buying used. It's important to note that many people who are comfortable purchasing a used computer will also look into available discounts.
