How much should I spend on this imac

I'm looking into purchasing a used Imac some people are selling on craigslist since I can personally look at them before purchasing. But I'm not sure how much I should spend since used & they aren't the most recent Imacs either. Here are the specs:

I do not know about there but on this side of the ocean, if a used nachine of 3 years where 700 € and a refurb is 800 or 850... as they are now... I'd get a refurb: they have warranty, current technology and are new.

The one for 450 is ok, bump the memory, change the disk for a new one (faster, bigger) for 80 or 90 more bucks. But to tell the truth I do not remember a 2GHz model, I do remember the 1.9 and 2.1... time to look at the buyers guide. that model was out exactly 3 years and one month ago.
