How much space do apps take up?

Hey guys,

I am looking to purchase either an 8 GB or a 16 GB iPhone. My only question is how much space will the average application take up? I know that nobody knows this for sure yet, but what would you guess? I mean applications like the Mobile Me stuff, and Super Monkey Ball.

I'm guessing they'll change the firmware so that it can install many more than what you can do at the moment with jailbroken devices but I doubt you'll get much more than 100 odd MB with quite a few apps installed and so out of 8GB, it's hardly much. In that case just buy it on your music amount, how much do you need?

Its hard to tell because different apps take up more space, but the larger apps I've installed have ranged between 1 and 3 MB. Some of the Band instrument packs push 10MB.
