Hello.

I have a simple question. How much space does photos on iPhone occupy? On my iPod Nano Old Generation with a 1.5in display, the 6400 photos on my iPhoto library takes up 300mb of space, about 48kb per picture (I expected like 10kb per photo). Since the iPhone display is 3.5in Widescreen, I would say about 1200mb - about 4 times the size. Does anyone know the exact answer and how to do the maths or hos to test it?

Thanks, Kiko.

On average the photos on iPhone will take up about 600kb per photo.

This includes all photos less than the size, (Photobooth, or in my case previous cell phone pictures) because iTunes "optimizes" them for the iPhone.

6400*600 = 3,840,000

Divided by 1024 so 3,750mb or about 4 gigs of photos if all are to be synced.
