The town without George Bailey
I would like to get the new 2018 iPad, and I was wondering if I could get by with the 32 GB model.

I keep all my photos in iCloud and use iTunes Match. I have a 128 GB iPhone 7 with 26 GB of photos on it. Enabling photo optimization tells me I would save 28 GB of space on the iPhone. How is saving more space than the photos take up possible?

Ultimately I’m wondering how much space my photos will take up on the new 32 GB iPad if I enable optimization, which I’ll definitely have to do if I want to have room for anything else.

Does anyone have a 32 GB device displaying tons of photos under optimization? How much space do they take up?
