Hi all,

I have a 2016 MacBook Pro with 256gb of storage. It has been pretty much full for a long time and I have decided to empty it out.

Recently, I deleted a lot of games from my Mac as I wanted to use bootcamp. When I go into about my Mac, it shows that I have 75.67gb but when I go into disk utility it shows that I only have 16.04gb. What is going on?

Thank you!

Sam

Believe Disk Utility and/or select your drive, then go to Get Info (command+I). After deleting your games, did you empty the trash?

Yes, the trash is empty.

I think all has been fixed, after disabling optimise Mac storage in iCloud and shutting it down and leaving it off overnight, disk utility shows that I have 70gb+ of free space.

But thank you for your suggestion.
