I came home this afternoon ready to install a new 2gig ram chip.

I already had 1 gig (slot 1) which came standard and I had put another 256 chip (slot 2 ) in that I had sitting around.

I tried to remove it with my fingers which was impossible, I then proceeded to use a pair pf pointy nose plyers. I grabbed the ram in the middle of what I thought was the 256 chip, of course it was the 1gig.
I managed to crush ( not really any visble damage) the small thing in the middle of the ram, now my computer only recognises 2gig. It say's slot 1 is empty

So anyone know how to remove ram easily ? any chance of any easy fix ? I think I will be just chucking it out and ordering another 2 gig.

Anyway, from high to low in about 5 mins.

Yes I am stupid. So please don't feel the need to tell me.

I am do upset to spell right.

The good news

well, the good news is my computer is much quicker and I have just ordered another 2 gig.
