I charge my 6+ every single night, and it is usually at 1-15% at bedtime. I used to charge my iPhone 5 twice a day, sometimes three times.

It obviously depends how much use it gets through the day.

I normally leave it charging overnight but on some days it's almost out of juice by mid afternoon so it needs an extra charge.

I charge my iPhone 6 every night, just as I have all my previous iPhones. This is mainly because I use it as my alarm clock, and the app that I use would eat up the battery during the night.

I will agree that actual charging will vary according to usage. I have had to charge it during the day sometimes when it got extra heavy usage.

With the iPhone 5s and 6, 1-2x a day depending on usage. I usually keep an Anker Astro Mini in my purse/pocket for portable charging. The 6+, I only needed to charge once every 1-3 days. Too bad the 6+ was just too darned unwieldy for me. I really loved the battery life on that thing.

Quick question: Would it be better of for the battery if I leave my phone charged for 8 hours at work or should I just charge it at home overnight? I don't have issues of running out of juice but rather concerned about the lifespan of the battery and/or conditioning.
