I have an iPod Touch 2nd gen and it synchronizes with iTunes just fine when I plug it in to my Vista PC. But it only does this once whether it's plugged in for 5 minutes or 10 hours overnight. When I'm in a hurry to leave in the morning I have to manually sync it to make sure it has the latest podcasts. :(

Is there a way to set a synchronization schedule? Am I missing it somewhere?

yer so busy you can't manually sync your ipod before you hit the couch for the day watching chat shows?

On my MBP it seems to do little syncs every so often. I don't know if it's actually doing much, but whenever it's plugged in, every 30 minutes or so the 'sync in progress' message takes over for about 10 seconds, then it goes back to whatever it was doing.

I'm guessing it only does a full backup on first connecting, then it'll do library content sync every so often.
