I've had a few sets of APMs, but they've always been either new or nearly new with plenty of warranty, or I've ended up getting AppleCare+.

I'm looking at buying a second hand set for much cheaper, but wondered how repairable they are if things go wrong out of warranty?

- If they suddenly "stopped working" and had no warranty left, could I take them to a Genius Bar to get them diagnosed? Do Apple actually repair out of warranty APMs or would they insist on a pretty much full-cost replacement?

- Will Apple replace the battery out of warranty?

Really trying to avoid spending too much on a set now that the APM2s are rumoured to launch next year.

Thanks

Looks intimidating.

I suppose I should rephrase by saying how repairable by Apple are they out of warranty? They'll be selling these right up until the end of the next year so won't become a vintage product for years, there's just very little on the Apple website in terms of what they offer out of warranty.

Honestly, you'll have to ask Apple or an Authorized Service Provider.
