Good to see this getting rolled out! I'm an organ donor in Indiana. It's so easy (takes 2 seconds to check a box).

It's a good read.

In Denmark we are advertising heavily for becoming organ donors and it is good to see things are improving around the world.

They're still saying the liver donor died in a "car accident", huh?

(I am ONLY kidding.)

No matter how much of a cynic you are against Steve or Apple, about how this was a big PR stunt, etc... ultimately, it saves lives. It's good. And I think Jobs is doing it for the right reasons (he realized that he only lived because he had the money to travel, not because he felt so inconvenienced taking his private jet to numerous states.)

The one thing I take major issue with is the fact that Steve does not make any attempt to make the seriousness of his health problems known to his stockholders- as he's supposed to be required to under SEC rules. First with the cancer, then with the liver thing (Apple PR telling shareholders that it was a "common bug"- liver issues are not!). Legally, its his duty to tell stockholders accurate information in a timely manner. Even omission (keeping his health concerns private) would have been better than what they did.
