How to 1080p 3D (SBS) to iTunes and AppleTV

Hi,

I have a 1080p rip (legit) of Tron Legacy, 3D, SBS mode. I have a new 3D TV which supports SBS.

Anyway, should I do anything special in HandBrake to make it support SBS?

Can the Apple TV play a 1080p SBS file that is in iTunes (I know it will scale down to 720p for output).

Did you have success at this? A year later I am on the same boat and would love yours or anyone's help on this. I know the quality won't be full 1080p, but I still want to be able to play my backups as nicely as possible (on atv3)
